သူငယ္ခ်င္းအားလုံးအတြက္ ေႏြးေထြးေပ်ာ္ရႊင္စရာ ေနရာေလး တစ္ခုပါ

Hi..everyone,I would like to share with you readers or visitors to this discussion about the difficulties I underwent once I was at the beginning of the study of English in UMK.We study all four skills together but there is,if you carefully keep an eye on,one out of four that is more tiring to pursue. It is nothing other than writing,I suppose.
Let's go through four skills one by one.First of all,as soon as you are admit of the students you will hear broken pieces of conversations from others no one is talking with you though.I promise, you understand some of those,as example such as "What is your name or are you new comer".Then you will spontaneously reply "Yes".And "My name is Bla bla"if you are a bit more congruous. This obviously shows that you can listen and speak at certain limited level. What I've discussed so far is just the very entree' of speaking and listening and so much more to come proving that these two skills are not so challenging as we expected. What if "how old are you and what is your father's name".Self-confidence is what you need all.
Reading is to be discussed next.We all have read tens of thousands of words and hundreds of paragraphs for comprehensions in our school text books.Nevertheless virtually ten years of reading along with teachers' prompting we are still unable to read.Because it takes Grammar. In full honesty,I was unable to read till I have been nearly two years in UMK school.I also admit that I wasn't concentrated in reading as I didn't realize how it is difficult. As a fresher we will speak and listen in basic and intermediate level. These students can speak and listen to understand pretty well.In limitation they can deal with people to communicate. But they can't read a sentence to perfect understanding. It backs up my idea to say reading is more skill and time demanding.
After all,the writing,my nightmare comes.Even you have already managed to read, the art of writing still claiming dexterity especially to write in the way of native style.Once I was reading "Flowers and Festivals"of Daw Khin Myo Chit when my American teacher passed by.She then took a glance of book cover, browsed inside and commented that a native would never write this English.Do not get me wrong.I am not saying the book is written clumsy but different style.Sayar Ma Gyi even writes the greatest novels in Asia.Is there anyone else if she doesn't know writing? But I was numb. She is American bacheloring in English Teaching that time.
I am still struggling till now to promulgate the Memos and Notices on the board,to send the official letters to big bosses.Still working hard I am to copy their style.Perhaps I am suffering now due to lack of practice when I was in UMK school. But you never know when..... :)

Grammer & Reading

- When it comes to writting, I would be the first to run away because it is the most difficult one out of all the four skills which are the combinations of English Language. Compared to my friends, I reckon that my writting skill is the worst which is not strange since I am more interested in spoken english.
Sometimes, we casually reply that we are learning English language when asked by others but what is it that we are really interested in and put our arduous emphasis on, Speaking, Writting, Translation,Reading as there are some people who just enjoy their leisure time by reading ? In my opinion, one can not master every single of these four skills and if there is one, I would like to take my hat off to him.
Enough of beating about the bush. As far as I could think, here, I would like to discuss about " Grammer & Reading ", the foundation of what makes a better writter. The very first enemy of writting is " Grammer ", the most fearful one many learners are afraid of including me. How could possibly a man write the standard english unless he is well competent in it, Grammer, huh? It must be won over. Then comes the second one " Reading ". A man can not write if he does not know how the native write, therefore he must study how they write and then pratice and emulate their way of writting.

Learning never ends, it depends on how far you would like to go. Of all the enemies of a language, Practise is the best weapon.
Thanks for reading this clumsy post.
